How do I change my postal address?
Please notify Council as soon as possible if your postal address is different to that shown on your rates notice and/or water notice. Council can accept change of postal address notification from a Managing Agent on behalf of a property owner.
Remember to advise all of the following information when updating a postal address:
- Property ID – this can be found on your rates notice and/or water notice;
- Property address;
- Property owner(s) full name(s)
- Contact details including phone number and email address; and
- New postal address, including Suburb, State and Postcode.

Please note: Council is not able to accept notifications of change of address over the telephone.
How do I change the name on my notices?
If you need to change the name on your notices, for security reasons you must provide Council with appropriate documentation.
Please note, changing your name with Tamworth Regional Council only changes records held by us. To change the name on your property title you will need to contact the NSW Land Registry Service.
Documentation required to change your name includes:
- marriage certificate;
- divorce decree;
- birth, deaths and marriages; or
- new driver’s licence
