Groups and Committees

Tamworth Regional Council delegates some of its functions to appointed community committees to manage facilities and activities. This provides the opportunity for local communities to play an active role in the management of these facilities and services, giving them ownership and sense of involvement. Council is able to delegate these responsibilities to committees under Section 355 of the Local Government Act 1993.

Tamworth Regional Council acknowledges the commitment and contribution made by all members of Section 355 Community Committees.
