Tamworth Sports Dome

Tamworth Sports Dome is an exceptional facility and the region's newest multipurpose indoor sports facility.

It provides the Tamworth community with a modern, well equipped sports facility which is suitable for a wide range of different sports and activities.

Our facilities

The Sports Dome caters for local, state and national events, with both indoor and outdoor multi-purpose sporting courts.

There are 7 indoor multi-purpose courts which comply to international standards:
• Show Court: a triple "sprung" timber floor with seating for up to 600 people
• Courts 1-3: both double "sprung" timber floors
• Court 4-6: a synthetic Aura Pulastic ZS flooring system

There are 18 outdoor netball courts (including 2 which can also be used for basketball)
• Courts 7-18: acrylic surface 
• Courts 19-24: tar surface
• Courts 9-10, and 13 -18 : have lighting

Other facilities include:
• 6 change rooms and amenity areas, treatment rooms and referee rooms
• Commercial cafe that services both indoor and outdoor areas
• Car Parking (PDF 2.7MB) with 182 spaces with overflow areas available for major events
• Children's playground and outdoor seating area
• Physiology and Allied Health services through Rural Fit
•  Public Address System which operates in separate zones or across the entire facility. 
• Wireless microphone available on Show Court for presentations
• Functionality to stream audio messaging or music

Make a booking

The Tamworth Sports Dome is available to host indoor and outdoor local, state and national sporting events. It is also available for community-based events that may need a large indoor area.

Dome Parties

The Tamworth Sports Dome provides families with a fun and interactive way to celebrate their child's next birthday by playing some of their favourite sports with all their family and friends. All you need to do is choose your preferred date and times, what sports you would like to play and who will cater!

To hold a party at the Sports Dome, please create an account and book through Council's online booking system, Bookable. All bookings are subject to the terms and conditions outlined in the Information, Terms and Conditions for Sports and Recreation Venue Hire or Use (PDF 900.3KB) document.

Cost

Catering
Bring your own party food and cake or order a range of catering packages available through the Courtside Cafe!

There is a range of sports to choose which includes all equipment required. Such as;

Dome School Holiday Programs

Tamworth Sports Dome hosts day-long programs each school holidays in an effort to get kids active and engaged in a range of sporting activities. The program operates several days a week, for two weeks, and is open to children aged 5 to 12 years.

Registration to participate is essential, as places are limited to 30 children per day. To secure a placement, please go to www.tamworth.bookable.net.au.
Registration costs $58.00 per child per day, and lunch is provided.

Active Kids Vouchers can be used towards registration costs. If you wish to use a voucher, please attach a copy of the voucher to your booking. You will be required to make payment on full when submitting your booking and will receive a refund should the voucher be processed successfully.
