Film and Sound Archive
The Tamworth Regional Film and Sound Archive preserves our region’s film and sound heritage with material dating back to 1916.
The archives were formed in 1995 and are now home to approximately 8,000 cans and cassettes of local and regionally produced visual material. There are over 20,00 items on the database as well as historical audio material.
The objectives of the Tamworth Regional Film and Sound Archive are to:
- Encourage the preservation of all visual and audio material and
- Emulate the objectives of the National Film and Sound Archive
