Council Meetings
Tamworth Regional Council hold Council Meetings on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month.
Business papers being presented at Council Meetings are available on the Friday afternoon prior to the meeting. You can access business papers from Council Customer Services Counters or download them directly here.
Attend a Council Meeting in person
Council Meetings are currently being held in the Nemingha Room at the Lands Building, 25-27 Fitzroy Street, Tamworth. To access the building, enter the gate on the right hand side of the building, go up the ramp and follow signage.
Council Meetings commence at 6:30pm.
Members of the community, including school groups are welcome to attend Council Meetings.
Members of the public can also view a live stream on Council's Facebook page. A link to the recording will be made available on Council's website afterwards.
If you would like to address a Council Meeting, there are two (2) options:
Community Consultation
To speak at community consultation, a person must first make an application to Council in the approved form. Applications to speak at community consultation must be received by 4:30pm the day before the date on which the community consultation is to be held, and must identify the item of business on the agenda of the Council Meeting the person wishes to speak on, and whether they wish to speak 'for' or 'against' the item.

Public Forum
Anyone who would like to address the Councillors about matters that are not included in the Business Paper for a Council Meeting may do so at a Public Forum. Public Forums are not public meetings, but an opportunity for members of the public to address the Councillors.
Public Forums are held on the second Tuesday of each month, which is the first Council Meeting of the month. Public Forums run for 30 minutes from 6:00pm and takes place at the Lands Building (25 Fitzroy Street).
If you would like to address the Public Forum you must register online by 4:30pm on the day prior to the Public Forum.
