It’s a sign the year is well and truly underway once students are back at school and Council meetings are off and running each second and fourth Tuesday. The next one is 27 February and all residents are welcome. We're at the Nemingha Room in the former Lands Building, Fitzroy Street, Tamworth from 6.30pm. Local heroes honoured on Australia Day
Communities across the region came together to celebrate Australia Day 2024, welcome new Australian citizens and crown the winners of the annual Australia Day Awards. Celebration highlights included award ceremonies in Barraba, Manilla and Tamworth, an Aussie hat competition, fireworks, and a classic cricket match.

Clean Up the Tamworth region
It's that time of year again when our community comes together to make a real difference to their local environment. Clean Up Australia Day is just around the corner, and we are encouraging all residents to roll up their sleeves and get involved! There are a number of ways you can participate - something to suit everyone including businesses, schools or any member of the community.

Special Rate Variation
Council has submitted its application to the Independent Pricing and Regulatory Tribunal (IPART) for a Special Rate Variation. IPART will now review all applications from across NSW and it expects in late February to publish them on their website.
