Experience why the Tamworth region is fast becoming a must-visit destination for foodies at the annual Taste Tamworth Festival. Drawing visitors from across New South Wales, Taste Tamworth is a 10-day celebration of food, wine and produce that's sure to tempt your tastebuds.
It's Tamworth's tasiest time of year! So, if you haven't already you need to start purchasing tickets and planning which events, stalls, locations, restaurants or bars are going to be taking your order during Taste Tamworth 5-14 April, 2024.
Begin on Friday 5 April at the World's Best Beef and Wine Degustation dinner at The Powerhouse Tamworth by Rydges. To celebrate local Jack’s Creek Beef winning World’s Best Steak at the 2023 World’s Steak Challenge, The Workshop Kitchen has curated a five-course degustation menu matched with local Topper’s Mountain Wines. Bookings are essential for this experience by calling the hotel.
On Saturday 6 April, enjoy an afternoon of high tea with live classical music at Tamworth Regional Conservatorium of Music from 3pm-6pm.
Then prepare your tastebuds for cupcakes, slices, and other delicious treats at Sweet Street on Sunday 7 April, 2-5pm in Fitzroy Plaza, Tamworth
Other experiences to enjoy include Pinot & Picasso paint classes, the Cow to Cone Experience at Spilt Milk, two special events at Tomms Bar and special Taste additions to the menu at Bendemeer Hotel.
On Saturday 13 April, Papa Luigi’s is bringing a taste of Italy to Tamworth at Serata in Famiglia (Family night). Enjoy a family night filled with food and entertainment … just like Nonna’s. Take the bambinis and enjoy performances live on the outdoor stage from be illusionist Brendan Montanner, singer Grant Galea and musician Nick Bavarelli.
Taste in the Park on Saturday 13 April is the largest event of the festival where Tamworth's Bicentennial Park hosts more than 40 food stands, fresh produce and craft beer stalls from 10am-4pm. Entry is $2 per person with children aged 12 and under free.
You can finish off the festival on Sunday 14 April with a trip to the Nundle Country Picnic and Market Day at Nundle Woollen Mill. At this family event there be market stalls, food, Woollen Mill fashion parade and live music.
