Funded through Council’s Asset Renewal Program, works on Calala Lane which aim to improve both the road surface and drainage is underway and will continue until the end of May. Work is taking place between Falcon Drive and Loomberah Road, Calala.
Increasing the width of drains on each side of the road will improve the ability of rainwater to get away, leading to improved durability of the road surface into the future. To widen the drains, about 100 trees will need to be removed from the roadside. New trees will be planted afterwards.
