Looking for some fun and interesting things to do these school holidays? Look no further than our various school holiday programs. Whether your child is a budding chef, tech enthusiast or a sports fan, there’s something to suit all children.
From Monday 30 September to Saturday 12 October each of the libraries in our region, The Youthie, Capitol Theatre and Tamworth Regional Gallery have some fantastic activities planned for kids ages 5 and up.
At the Youthie, young people aged 12 to 18 years can roll up their sleeves and make delicious pizzas from scratch. If you're looking for your child to burn off some of their endless energy there will be basketball and pool competitions as well as the opportunity to book in for a session of laser tag or tenpin bowling! Young people looking to start their first job can book a place in one of the Sisters Starting Strong job ready programs.
Creativity will take centre stage at our libraries where children aged 5 and over can create snow globes, jigsaw puzzles, paper mache money boxes and more. If craft isn’t their thing, there will also be a games and Lego afternoon and robot soccer.
Tamworth Regional Galley will be hosting some exciting ceramics, animation and printmaking workshops with local artists and creatives.
For a fun family outing, take in a live show at the Capitol Theatre. There are two amazing shows to see, Cirque Africa and The Small Poppies!
