Avoid bill shock for your water usage by signing up for the new MyTRC Water Portal.
Throughout 2023 more than 21,000 smart water meters have been installed across the region. The smart water meters provide real time data to help detect leaks, improve billing accuracy and allow residents to monitor their own water usage.
The MyTRC Water Portal allows residents to monitor their water consumption anytime, anywhere, and all for free.
Once registered, track your daily water usage and even set your own water consumption targets, with SMS or e-mail alerts to warn you if these targets have been or are likely to be exceeded.
It can also help identify leaks which will save water and money. If you get an unexpected consumption alert, start trying to identify the leak. Common locations are taps, showers, toilets, evaporative air conditioning, irrigation systems and rain water tanks that are connected to town water.
To sign up to the portal, visit our website under water. For your first visit you will need your latest water rates notice handy as this includes property reference numbers required to register. Once your details have been verified, you will receive an e-mail allowing access to the portal and you can start setting your targets.
