Demolition works started in July at the Peel Street site with the velodrome track rail removed, the concrete track surface demolished and the pedestrian access culverts removed.

A bulldozer is now reshaping the existing earth embankments so the site is suitable for future development of the campus. The demolition and earthworks (expected to be completed by mid-September) are being undertaken as part of Council’s contribution as a project partner.
