Road Updates: Burgmanns Lane, Kingswood

Road and drainage works will be undertaken on Burgmanns Lane, between Goonoo Goonoo Road and Duri Road, for 2km, due to significant failure within the pavement. 

The works will start on Monday 14 October and will take place weekdays, 7am to 4:30pm. They are expected to be completed by early April 2025.

Drainage improvements are a key focus for this road rehabilitation, as the previous open swale drain allowed water to damage the pavement. The new drain has been relocated away from and lower than the pavement to prevent water infiltration. The upgrades are designed to enhance road conditions, ensuring better accessibility for higher efficiency heavy vehicles traveling along this route.

During this period the road will be reduced to one lane and 40km. Traffic control will be in place and minor traffic delays can be expected.
