Manilla Waste Facility New Hours:

Tuesday: 1.00pm – 4:00pm
Friday: 1:00pm - 4:00pm
Sunday: 8:30am - 11:30am

Barraba Waste Facility New Hours:

Tuesday: 8.30am – 11.30am
Friday: 8.30am - 11:30am
Sunday: 1.00pm - 4:00pm

Waste Transfer Station

The Barraba and Manilla Waste Facilities will change to a Waste Transfer Station later this year meaning that waste from this landfill will be transported into Tamworth Landfill instead of being landfilled here.

The main difference to residents will be the way rubbish is unloaded. Instead of being able to push rubbish out of a ute or trailer straight onto the ground, users will have to lift and place all rubbish into a skip bin.

These changes come into effect later this year.

The changes from a Landfill to Waste Transfer Station is for improved environmental outcomes, safety improvements and operational efficiencies.
