Keep the Fire Burning! this NAIDOC Week
Tuesday 9 July, 2024
Tamworth is buzzing with vibrant celebrations as the community unites to mark NAIDOC Week.
This year’s theme, Keep the Fire Burning! Blak, Loud and Proud, celebrates the unyielding spirit of our Indigenous communities and invites all to stand in solidarity, “amplifying the voices that have long been silenced”.
NAIDOC Week is an opportunity to celebrate and recognise the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people through a variety of events and activities. From traditional dance performances to art exhibitions showcasing local talent, NAIDOC Week aims to educate, inspire, and celebrate.
