2024 Country Music Parade Entry Form
The Country Music Parade is a celebration of Australian country music and provides an opportunity for festival attendees to see their favourite stars up close and in person while experiencing the excitement of a traditional street parade. The parade also provides a fantastic opportunity for businesses and community organisations to be actively involved in the festival.
The parade, which attracts thousands of festival fans to the CBD, is designed to be a colourful and exciting event featuring country music stars, roaming street performers, dance schools, community groups and marching bands along with a range of unique & historic cars.
A Walking Parade
Participants are encouraged to walk the 1.2km route of the Tamworth Country Music Parade. This will allow all participants to be seen by parade spectators and for parade participants to interact with crowds. If a parade entry includes a vehicle there are restrictions as to the type of vehicles that are permitted. Only utes and convertible cars are allowed to enter, no trucks or larger vehicles will be permitted.
Parade Route
The 2024 Tamworth Country Music Parade will commence at NSW Police discretion at 9am on Saturday 27 January, from Peel Street, just south of Hill Street. The parade will travel north along Peel Street, turn left into Fitzroy Street, left into Kable Avenue and travel south along Kable Avenue concluding at the intersection of Kable Avenue and Hill Street. The parade marshalling and dispersal areas are in the same location.
See the Country Music Parade Route Map (PDF 2.9MB) for details.
Theme
The theme for the 2024 Tamworth Country Music Parade is Australian + Country + Music. This theme focuses on Australian country music; with secondary themes celebrating Australia and what it is to be Australian. Entrants are encouraged to explore and present their own interpretation of this theme.
All entrants should be dressed in accordance to the theme and carry props, banners, flags and other items to ‘decorate’ their entry according to the theme and make their entry as visually appealing as possible.
All entries must have at least one country music artist walking/travelling as part of their entry, a live music performance or pre-recorded music playing.
