The Aged Care Volunteer Visitors Scheme (ACVVS) is a government-funded program to combat social isolation and help develop social connections in older persons. Maintaining social connections is more important than ever for our older persons, and can be essential in relieving depression and anxiety. We are searching for friendly, engaging volunteers who are 18 years of age or older.

This position requires patience, compassion, and reliability. Volunteers will be expected to spend at least 1 hour per fortnight on an ongoing basis with their matched care recipient, doing an activity they both enjoy.

This is decided based on shared interests and mobility level. Activities can include having a cuppa, painting, reading, taking a walk, and more. For more information, click on the register your interest link below.
