Youth Events and Activities

 2024 Youth Week 

Youth Week will take place 11 - 21 April 2024.

It is organised by young people, for young people, in communities across NSW and Australia (12 -24). 

Youth Week is an opportunity for youth aged 12 – 24 years in our region to share ideas, attend events and have their voice heard. By coming along to these events, youth can youth can showcase their talents, contribute to the community, challenge themselves and have fun!

Buses will be available upon request for the Youthie Open Day upon request. The time that these buses are departing are:

Barraba: 11am, O'Meara Park

Manilla: 11:25am, Manilla Pool

Games & Lego Afternoon Tuesday 16 April 2pm - 4pm Tamworth City Library 5 + All ages are welcome to drop in or spend the afternoon with our wide selection of board games and building with Lego.

Bricktopia and Earthquake Challenge! Wednesday 17 April 2pm - 4pm Tamworth City Library 5 - 8 Ages 5-8 will love free-form building a collaborative village with our life-size soft bricks across the Innovation Studio floor, and taking on our shake-table engineering challenge!

Scavenger Hunt and Movie Tuesday 23 April 2pm - 4pm Tamworth City Library 5 - 15 Follow the clues to search Tamworth Library in our scavenger hunt, followed by a movie suitable for ages 5-15.

Barraba
Sphero Chariot Racing Tuesday 23 April 2pm - 3pm Barraba Library 8 + Ages 8+ will build a chariot out of Lego Technic pieces, connected to a Sphero Robot to be raced around our arena. The challenge emphasises engineering skills to design a chariot that is fast and stable as well as testing your ability to control a robot!

 Tamworth Regional Gallery School Holiday Program

Tamworth Regional Gallery's school holiday workshops offer a range of creative expression, technical training, fun, exploration and inter-disciplinary practice.
